Man, sounds like a great week at home! I can't believe that Charlie is going to Lyon!!!!!! Oh boy, hes going to have a blast. I sure hope he gets to meet Elder Kunzler and Elder Ferguson and Wilson and Johnson and Sagers. They're all probably running the show right now.
Dallin - sounds like a sweet week! Way to go on winning those three games, you must be doing super well with that team.
This week was great here in Laval. We actually got transfer calls on Saturday night, and Elder Christensen is leaving for Hawksberry (in between Ottowa and Montreal). Its sad to see him go, since we got to really enjoy working together, especially the last couple of weeks. Its been some awesome learning experiences! He's been an awesome example of loving everyone, and I've enjoyed the change to really work on that.
So, Elder Pehrson will come here to Laval! He's in my transfer, and we've only talked twice I think. So here we go!
The Clarks are doing well, we set a date for the 8th of June with them, and Tracey (especially) seems excited. She said she is wondering what to do about telling her Dad that she is wanting to get baptized, because she says he will be very against the idea. And its not that her parents would have any real say in it, but shes a very mindful about her family, and doesn't want to hurt him. But, she wants to so bad, that shes already told her mother, and invited one of her cousins to the baptism. She's amazing! So we're for the most part working on Danny now.
Alyse! Thanks for the good idea. One little story from this week: We knocked for about 7 or 8 hours on Saturday, since we had nothing set up. It was pretty fun! We actually stepped into a building to knock, when a man painting in one of the apartments stopped us and asked us what we were doing. After a couple minutes, he let us in, if we could roll the paint right onto the roller hah. And I was sad, because I didn't get to, but its okay, because Elder Christensen did a good enough job.
But we then stayed for 15 or 20 minutes answering his questions about our church, and beliefs. His name is Constantine and is Greek, and loves to talk. It was great. He said he's call us in a week, which was a little disappointing, but that was fun. So we got let in twice during the day, and got a couple other potentials, which was fun. This is an area with a lot of potential, so its going to be great to work on trying to get more investigators from knocking, and member work.
We had some really good trainings at Mission Leadership Council this week about true conversion, and I really really enjoyed it. It was great to have that training because it helped us set a mindset on where we're going for the investigators here but also all the missionaries. Its going to be fun to apply all that we learned about conversion and accountability to the Lord for our Zone with Elder Pehrson.
Thanks for everything family!!! go ahead and email me any questions that you would like answered, or anything else you might want.
Love
Elder Austin Murphy
