Oh boy!!- July 15, 2013

Haha oh boy! What a week. Dallin! (Elder!) How are you bud? Thats some news about your visa, but hey, youre going to love the MTC in Provo. You're going to make some very very good friends there, and its just an awesome experience to be there.

Im glad the farewell went well! Sounds like a lot of friends were there. Hah I hope you give a goodbye hug to Mrs. Wong for me, because Im still embarrassed about how I didnt.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOH Dallin, I bet you're so excited. I wish I could start over my two years with you, but President said no. But, maybe we can do a split or something for a couple days if I find a plane down to the DR.

Just one last bit of advice, after Im sure t'en a trop reçu already, but just give it your all. Be humble, and do what He asks, and you'll see miracles, in yourself and in others. Those are the most important miracles Ive found.
No matter what your MTC companion is like (maybe its Elder Drury! If it is, tell him his brother says hi), be his best friend. Make him feel good. Ive found many miracles with people we talk to, people we find and even members we work with, through the Gospel, but I believe that the strongest influence that Ive on people here in Québec is my companions and other missionaries that you serve around. Not every one is going to have an easy as time as you (and it wont be easy hah), or such support as you'll receive from home. So lift where you stand, and remember that your first responsibility is to help them come to Christ.

You're going to rip it up.

So, we're doing well in Laval. The Clarks are doing well. We got to go over the interview questions with them this week, and everything seems good. But we're definitely are going to stay with them throughout the week like Dad explained. Their interview will be Tuesday, and we're going for the baptism on Saturday morning and confirmation on Sunday. Here we go!

Here's an interesting knocking story for you: I got to go to Montreal for a split with the Assistants to the President (with Elder Williams) and we contacted quite a bit throughout the whole day. It was super fun, and then we pass by a potential ono the same street we were on. And he was very nice, and let us im through the buzzer, and we started talking to him, Elder Williams, a friend we brought along in the ward, and me. He was a very nice man, and started telling us about how he loves missionaries, and is a member of our church. Hah what? He started talking about the Book of Mormon, and prophets, and blah blah blah and yes he was. He said its been 20 years or so since hes been to church, but he still reads his scriptures every day. We even took down the numbers of his children who live out in Terrebonne so that they can meet the missionaries. Then, we say goodbye, and shake his hand. And after I shook his hand (after elder Williams and our friend from the ward) he got all surprised! And he said ''Whoa, theres three of you! Theres never three, its always two.'' And it turns out, hes completely blind, and we had no idea. That was incredible. So! That was an awesome man we met this week.

We also got to meet a very nice man named Jimmy. Hes probably in his 60s, hes from Greece, and supposedly lives with a member (we didnt recognize the name). But he let us come in and teach him a lesson, and then we came back 2 days later, and hes really excited to try to find out if God is there for him. Ill definitely write more about him later, because he seems legit.

Love you all!

Bethany and Cole, we love you too.

Elder Murphy (Austin)

And also, quick note. My friend from BYU in our Elders Quorum (Elder) Harrison McCullough is now in the Irvine California Mission!! Haha he just emailed me today. Hes serving in the Woodbridge 2nd ward, and said hes loving it. If you happen to go there and see him, give him a big big hug for me. He's a wonderful guy, and a very good missionary.
